[Thinkpad] Vista on a T60p

Is Vista really worth it? I haven't seen any big rush to get the
software and the News seems to be very quiet about how successful the
launch of Vista has been. Our Staples, Best Buy's and Circuit City's
have overflowing shelves of the software. Is anyone buying it?

What are you getting beyond the new bells and whistles that are not
already part of XP? Is this whole Vista venture coming to us with hopes
to recharge a struggling industry (computer hardware and software)?
Some recent reviews indicate that the update is not worth it unless you
are interested in the fancier interface and some of the
photo/music/video gimmicks added. Is this characterization accurate?
Bottom line, I have machines (T23 and three NetVista's) that need
significant hardware updates to get Vista working. These machines are
supporting my needs well. Buying new Vista computers are out of the
picture for the upcoming future.

George
