[Thinkpad] T40 wireless card

I'm sending this as a separate note since it's a separate topic.

While I had the machine apart, I swapped the 256MB DIMM from under the
keyboard with the 1GB DIMM in the rear slot; now I can pick up a 1GB and
throw it in in 30 seconds (OK, it's only 5 minutes otherwise, but). I also
took the opportunity to swap the original wireless card for one I have from
a T30. But when I booted, the BIOS whined about it being "unauthorized", so
I pulled it. It's a 26P8519, made by Intel. Why wouldn't this work on a
T40? Does the no1802.com DOS program to hack the CMOS, available various
places on the web, actually work?
