I think only Dell commits the atrocity of having a connecter that is ATX
standard shape/size but with different pinouts. (I hope the genius who
thought of that is not one of the Dell people who moved to Lenovo!)
Some Compaqs have a proprietary 24 pin connector instead of the usual 20
pin one, but converters are widely available (eg, MyPCCase.com). One of
the supplies we replaced last month was for a Compaq Presario, it had a
bog standard ATX pinout but I think I had to bend something to fit the
generic supply into the case.
