VNC is great. I have not used the oneclick variant, but I believe the
change from regular VNC is that the connection is initiated by the
server machine, so that your client need not have an ip address visible
from the outside. If the sysadmin has the communication port (usually
5500) locked down, then it won't work, but this is true for any such
software, and you have the ability to choose the port.
File uploads across tightVNC (which I use) are fast, but one-at-a-time,
which is a bit fiddly. I don't know if UltraVNC is better in this
regard. One Click gives you the choice of either of these
implementations.
