[Thinkpad] Windows Vista Questions

I've used Lotus SmartSuite with WXP for a long time. Even if your
current version doesn't work right - which is possible (however not by
my experience), it will not be too expensive to get the latest cut (I
believe 9.8) off EBay. I use this version right now and it works great.
Also you may want to consider joining the IBM Lotus Symphony beta
testing community. They are making a Lotus Symphony version of the
OpenOffice software. I think it has great potential of offering much of
what SmartSuite offered in the past. This software has some bugs (Beta
testing) but for those who want to keep the usability of SmartSuite
alive, this is a great avenue of providing your voice. Symphony reads -
but does not write legacy SmartSuite formats.

Finally, you might want to run Word Pro in Win95 or Win98 compatibility
mode. Just right-click the icon - select properties - select the
compatibility tab - check "Run this program in compatibility mode for:"
then select the highest version of windows Word Pro will work in - (W95,
W98/ME, WNT, or W2K.)

Good Luck,

Wish my old Lotus word processor (W95 vintage) would work with XP.
