[Thinkpad] OT: NetVista Rescue and Recovery Problem

Bob,

It sounds like it is an issue called 'panning'. Apparently the
resolution of the display area being displayed at the time is higher
than the resolution of the monitor and the system has been told to 'pan'
the display instead of shrinking the display area to fit the monitor.
If you move your mouse to the edges of the screen it will probably move
the display around so you can view the rest of the display (i.e. it will
'pan' the display for you).

I forget whether this is a setting in the BIOS of the computer or in the
monitor itself. I *think* it is a monitor setting. Navigate around the
menu choices of the monitor and look for an entry related to 'panning'
(or look through the monitor's manual). If you shut that feature off it
should force the display to only show the max area that the monitor can
display. Alternatively, look for an entry related to 'scale to fit' or
similar. That may size the display area to fit the monitor. Of course,
another option is to find out how to tell the computer to display only
the correct resolution that the monitor can handle. That is probably
something in the BIOS or within the config of the R&R environment. I
have no idea how to adjust the latter.

Good luck!

Rob
