Their quality has slipped over the past two years. We have been buying our
memory from them since 1999... but no more. We have purchased several
thousand dollars worth of memory from them over the years.
Their memory modules are no longer labeled. Some of the memory is Value
Ram, with slow latency. You cannot tell, although they do guarantee it to
work, it may not work in concert with other faster modules.
Shipping is not always free.
Prices are no longer the lowest.
Replacement memory now takes a long time to arrive, and they have argued
about every return.
Their batteries and other components are very high priced.
But they still sell modules for older equipment that few other memory
dealers sell. We have never had any unresolvable difficulties. However,
some of it is refurbished.
On the while, though, for newer products, www.zipzoomfly, which has been in
business now for 10 years (first under Google Gear), is the lowest priced,
fastest shipped memory we can get, and the shipping remains free for ground
shipments. They have never once been out of Thinpad memory for us. They
sell Crucial, Corsair, Ocz, Geil, Samsung, Infineon, Kingston, and others.
The memory always comes in static protected sealed, see-through boxes.
Still, you have to read the fine print. If you make a mistake, the memory
is yours.
