It's a known issue with the T60p. Both of mine did the same thing. The fans
were working on mine but they were still overheating. Send it in and they
will fix it.
If you want, you can download tpfancontrol [1] and use it to look at the CPU
and GPU (graphics processing unit) temperatures. If you notice it getting
hot in the upper left, start tpfancontrol and then double click its tray
icon to open its window. Use Alt+PtrSc to capture a screen shot, then open
Paint and paste the screen shot in so you can print it. Send in the printout
with the machine.
