[Thinkpad] T42 Recovery Partition

    I just got a new (to me) T42.  I'm trying to copy the recovery partition 
over from the present 40 GB to a new 60 GB drive.  I know this has been 
discussed here before, but I can't seem to find the thread.

    I have used PowerQuest Drive Image 7 to make a copy of the partition.  I 
used Partition Magic 7 to make two FAT32 partitions on the new drive, one 6 
GB for the recovery at the end of the drive, and the rest at the beginning. 
The T42 BIOS does not seem to recognize that the recovery partition is 
there.  There's no "F11" message on startup, and pressing the blue "Access 
IBM" button gives no options about recovery.  I did enable the bootup 
messages in the BIOS.

    Can anyone direct me to the procedure for getting this to work?
