I'll look it over but I don't think you have any other options but become a pest
to the seller. This was a bad eBay sale unless he told you before you bought.

Go to www.techspot.com and search for Rustam, and for Password removal tools. I
have not removed passwords on Thinkpads with this technique, only Dell Latitudes
and Inspirons, and a few Compaqs.

Thanks for the fast replies. I appreciate it. Tell me more about the shorting
technique...... What tools would I need to have in order to do this?

Not likely. There is a guy on TechSpot names Rustam who is famous for password
removal... bit I don't know if he has ever done Thinkpads. I have never heard
of anybody removing T21 passwords.
There is a shorting technique for passwords programmed into an eeprom, that
might work, but it also wipes out the ability to use the Thinkpad recovery
discs.

Friend of mine just handed me a T21 he replaced the M-board on. He bought board
off eBay and no mention BIOS password. He reassembles it and now he is locked
out. Does a method exist to reset the password or disable it?
