[Thinkpad] OT: Anyone have experience with Dell M65?

It may not matter to you, from what I could tell
the M65/M90 don't have track points, which is
a show stopper for me. Dell doesn't make it easy
to find out which models have track points.
It looks like the newer Precision M4300 has the
track point and is built on the same base as the
Latitude. It might be worth finding out if you can
hold off a bit and get the M4300 or consider a
Latitude D830. I'm pretty sure the Latitude D6x0s
and D8x0s all share the same parts (bays, docking
stations, batteries).
For me personally, I wish IBM or Dell would sell
a 17" notebook with a trackpoint. I've been
putting off a purchase for a while.
For what it's work, the company I used to work
for used Dells, mostly Latitude D600's then D610's
which seemed to hold up reasonably well. The
finish on the plastic comes off very easily. The
spots under my palms came off within 6 months.
Other than that I was very happy with the D610.
One thing some of the Dell's have going for them
is higher resolution flat panels. The 15.4"
is available in a 1920 x 1200 model. This is also
the native resolution of the 24" and 27" monitor
they sell.
Hope This Helps,
