[Thinkpad] X30 and Widescreen External monitor?

The first thing I would think of doing is trying to completely uninstall all
display adapters and try to get the laptop to use the Microsoft VESA display
adapter. Once there are no more traces of the intel driver around, download
the generic intel driver and see if it will recognize the full screen res.

That trick has seemed to work on at least a few iGMA-based computers I've
worked with.
