[Thinkpad] T20 and extnded desktop in a windows 2000 opertaing system

It may well be that Win2K doesn't offer that extended desktop feature by
default. You may be able to see if you can upgrade to the vendor's
latest video drivers for your display adapter, but I really have no idea
if that will help or not. WinXP would resolve the issue as long as your
hardware supports it.
