[Thinkpad] HD Recommendation -- Hitachi TravelStar?

I've been asked to find a HD size & speed upgrade for my club's 
laptop, a DELL, regrettably. While the Dell seems to be an OK 
piece of hardware, but it is not a Thinkpad. (Obligatory TP content). 

The Hitachi 2.5" laptop drive below seems about right for our club 
budget at $72.  But, ....

After all the recent discussion about "DeathStars", I'm getting 
a bit uncomfortable about recommending this particular TravelStar 
for our upgrade.  The supplier is almost local to my work, so 
I'd pick it up, and maybe another for a member, ...

IFF it is _likely_ to prove as reliable as other choices.  

Opinions sought.
