[Thinkpad] X41 displays errors 0187 and 0191 ...

Found the HMM, but also realized the CMOS battery kept time despite the 0187 and 0191 errors. I only re-seated the CMOS battery. Got two more errors in addition to 0187 and 0191 - 0250 for a System Battery Error and 0271 for a Date and Time Error. NOW, I think the original and current CMOS battery's holding a charge.

Can anything be done about that EEPROM?

Since I didn't see error codes 0161 and 0163 as I would on a 600 Series, I didn't think of a dead CMOS battery. Sounds like *all* Thinkpads require a working CMOS/RTC battery. Yes, error codes 0187 and 0191 show up at startup.

I do see a picture in eBay item 170061605900 and it looks a lot like the 600 series battery except for the wiring. I only saw a red and black wire for a 600 Series CMOS battery. This one also has a white wire. I'd also like to simply swap out the coin battery inside as I have done with 600 series Thinkpads. If the X41 doesn't use a CR2025, then I'd love to find out the correct watch battery.
