[Thinkpad] Hitachi drive difference?

Toshiba is the only drive brand that I would tell anyone to never get.
Their bearings fail way too often. I have two that have failed on me and we
see an inordinate amount of them at work (I work for my university,
repairing student's computers). When we see a Toshiba come in, I would say
it is about 75% of the time a failing hard drive (generally, Toshiba laptops
use Toshiba hard drives). Granted, Toshibas aren't nearly as ubiquitous as
Dells, so there is a smaller sample size. Even with the FDB, though,
Toshiba hard drives will start grinding...

I don't know what anyone else's experience is, but that's mine.
