[Thinkpad] Bootable USB stick

I've played around with a few bootable USB sticks. If you search the
web for 'damn small linux usb', 'knoppix bootable usb', or 'dos bootable
usb', I think you'll find plenty of how-to documentation on making it
work.

I currently have a bootable USB stick with DOS and Ghost on it that I
use for the same type of thing you mention. These aren't hard to put
together. The main consideration is that the laptop support boot-from-USB.
