[Thinkpad] Bootable USB stick

Hello everyone, 

 

Does anyone have experience in creating a bootable USB stick. 

I use Acronis true Image to create images of my hard disk. 

I use a T41 laptop with 2 hard disks installed (1 in place of the CD drive,
my OS is on the secondary hard disk), this  means I cannot use a cd to boot
the Acronis application when I want to restore an image.

 

Is there a solution to this
