You may not need all that extra Verizon software. My T60p came with
Verizon's VZAccess Manager, which I found both unreliable and annoying. But
I discovered that I didn't need to use this software at all: ThinkVantage
Access Connections handles the Verizon card just fine, and integrates it in
with the other connections I set up (various WiFi routers), so I can switch
between them seamlessly.
