Absolutely.  My Magellan MAP330, for example, has a serial interface 
which is normally used for uploading maps and downloading tracks, but it 
cal also send standard NMEA data to a PC-based mapping system.

The MAP330 has the added advantage of having its own map display, albeit 
small and monochrome, but it does make it a handy stand-alone device for 
hiking, geocaching, and the like.  You should be able to find one on 
eBay for under fifty bucks, and the car window mount with 
serial/external power cord for under twenty.
