After taking apart my Thinkpad R31 model 2656 to replace the cooling fan
my screen is dark. This has happened in the past and I was able to fix
it by fiddling around with plugging/unplugging the LCD connector and
bios battery and making sure all power is drained by unplugging the
power source (AC/batter).
Right now the screen is equally dark when setting display config to high
and normal in the bios and the brightness controls don't work. I was
able to get the brightness controls working strangely a couple tries ago
(pressing brightness+ made it flip between dark bright and medium).
Anywho, what i'm looking for is a methodical approach to this problem
instead of randomly plugging/unplugging connectors. Thanks!
