[Thinkpad] 600E problem

You could try running the recovery disk on the drive already inside.  Try
running chkdsk /r after reinstalling, that will give you a detailed summary
of any problems found with the drive.  If you suspect the drive might be bad
you could change it easily enough, but the old drive might still have some
use left.  Good luck!

The 600E is the unit I currently use the most.  It's still got quite a lot
of uses left!
