[Thinkpad] 380XD BIOS Upgrade Without Battery

    Can a 380XD BIOS be upgraded without a battery?  I seem to recall some 
messages in the past on how to do this, but I can't find them now.  Any help 
would be appreciated.

    Also, if anyone has a working battery for sale cheap please contact me. 
It doesn't have to work long, just enough to start the BIOS upgrade.  It 
must be FRU 02K6509 from a Pentium II 266 model.  The one from a 233 model, 
although it looks the same, won't fit:  the connector is keyed differently.
