600E, 256 MB RAM, 366 MHz
I have a 768 MB swap file, but I'm running Win2K.

I run Mozilla Firefox (the smaller cousin of what you use)
and find that when I task switch to it, there is
a heck of a lot of disk thrashing going on, even with a 768 MB
swap file. I'd suggest;
0. Defrag the swap partition
1. Increase the size of your swap file and if that doesn't work
2. Switch to Opera 7 (also free).
And Good Luck!
