[Thinkpad] WEP vs WPA on T-30

I frequently use the built-in 802.11b that came with my T30 (thanks Bruce). 
However, the current wireless software from IBM only seems to support WEP 
(but not WPA) encryption for the wireless connection. I've been checking 
ever since the WPA standard was approved but so far IBM hasn't released any 
updates that address WPA for the T30.

Does anybody have any idea how long it normally takes IBM (in general) to 
release a software update to support a new protocol such as WPA? In the 
alternative, does anybody know when IBM plans to release updated wireless 
drivers for the T30 that will support WPA?

For the record, I'm running Windows XP Pro (SP1) w/256MB
