Hiya,
I have taken in everything everybody has said and very much appreciate it, I
shall think about it carefully. I was over guy's house who owns the TP765
and is selling it, and he demonstrated it to me.
While I was there he did say that he hadn't satisfactorily found a good
driver for the PCMCIA slot, he said that he had installed the driver from
IBM's site for Win 95 on Windows 98 which he had (Second Edition I think).
However the driver under System Devices showed as PCIC or whatever on IBM
System but had an exclamation mark by the side of it.
As such, does anybody know of good 98 drivers or tips for him to get this
little niggle of his sorted? I wasn't able to help much beyond take notes,
and said I would ask this list. He is not selling yet but will be very soon
(when his new laptop arrives).
Also he noted USB 2.0 cards will work, as he showed me you needed to make
sure Thinkpad Configuration had Cardbus enabled in the PC Card settings.
Anyway any ideas for him to resolve this issue?
I found out it's a 765L.
Vicky
