Thank you, Amany, for your offering. Much appreciated. What you say has 
been my understanding for at least 30 years. But now, reading accounts 
that majorities wish death to those who convert seems strange.

The historical ruler Saladin did exactly as you suggest regarding 
religions: he let Be. His example is a model for many mystics of both 
the past and present.

You know, it all comes down to what we believe. In this age, the wisdom 
school suggests that all peoples examine, in depth, why they believe 
what they believe. Belief systems seems to be the root-cause of so much 
hatred in the world, today and in the past. Did any prophet ever tell us 
to "hate other peoples"? No, love all as self, as Self, as Allah. <smile>
