Phil & All,

Wikipedia is broken, and even the slow-to-catch-on mainstream media
are beginning to tumble to that in a big way.  What I will try to do,
until it becomes impossible, is prevent Citizendium from going down the
same track.  There are many reasons why Wikipedia is going sour, but the
one that you bring to mind is the growing incapacity that it's participants
developed for learning from experience, largely because doing so would require
them to face a number of not-so-nice facts, both about the nature of reality and
about the nurture of human organizations.  It's a dirty job being the messenger of
all that, but somebody's got to do it.
