I suggest that the relation of logic and semiotics to
economics and politics has a very significant negative
character, in so far as a major force in the latter two
realms is the presence, and maybe even the prevalence of
misrepresentation. Should you have any doubts about this,
you have but to check your mailbox, especially the screened
mail folder, if you have one, and count the number of likely
misrepresentations accumulating there on a diurnal basis, most
of them driven by what seem to be primarily "ecomimic" motives.
This is not, of course, a novel observation,
but I think it merits continuing reflection.
