The absolutely revolutionary, well, relatively revolutionary
development that we find already in Peirce's earliest formal
outcroppings, from the first lectures at Harvard and Lowell
to the 1870 "Logic of Relatives" (LOR), is his appreciation
for the reality of the information dimension, with all the
irritant instigations of uncertainty, all the drives and
viscitudes of inquiry, and even a glancing recognition,
though perhaps shy on detail regarding its due, of the
apathetic inertia and the brute obstinacy that rises
in reaction to every forward motion in that object.
