[Arisbe] email outage, apologies

[this is massively BCC'ed to about 15 different groups of people, so my
apologies if it is overly general and makes very little sense...]

recently the machine on which several of the mailing lists with which i am
involved dropped off the internet for the period of a couple of weeks.

several interchanges, with various people trying to resolve the problem,
took far longer than was pleasant.  i am annoyed that the machine was down
for so long, and that it took me so long to get it fixed.  [i left town
for a couple of weeks, had no wheels to get back here (from when i was in
a traffic accident last month), and couldn't manage to get the problem
resolved without actually setting foot in the room where the server sits.

so - if you've been inconvenienced, you have my most sincere apologies.

if you got a bounced message more than five days ago, please resubmit your
mails from that period and they should go through, now.
